How it works
From your first call to a signed order
Every case is different, but most follow this shape.
Step 1: You call or send the form
Tell us what’s happening, who’s involved and roughly what the household earns.
Step 2: We tell you if we can take it
A lawyer reads what you sent. If we can’t take the case, we say so and point you elsewhere.
Step 3: You meet your lawyer
You get an honest read on your case, a plan with dates, and a written fee.
Step 4: We prepare the paperwork and you
We draft what the court needs and rehearse the hearing with you, including the questions you dread.
Step 5: You get an order, or an agreement
Then we make sure the paperwork matches what the judge decided.
Your part
Three things we ask of you
Bring the paperwork you have
Pay stubs, bills, and anything you were served. Missing papers are fine; we’ll help you find them.
Tell us the whole story
We’ve heard hard things before. The facts you’re embarrassed by are the ones we most need to know.
Answer when we call
Court deadlines are short. Tell us the safest way and time to reach you.
Want to take step one?
The form takes a few minutes, and a phone call takes about the same.
